Ok just came cross this site thanks to Sam and our love for Aussie band Something For Kate. www.newfoundfrequency.com/ basically its a site which works with bands to put out offical bootlegs of tours. I think with the huge demand for James live material that something like this would work very well. I know some bands like Pearl Jam have been doing something like this for years but surely this would be a good idea for the band? I know most of us would pay for bootlegs of the band (not that certain individuals are not doing a good job!!) Honest

Good as it may sound, I seriously doubt the band would like into this, especially at this moment in time. They have an album to see to for god's sakes.

went to a faithless gig and you had the option to buy, it was a bit pricy though, £17. In the questions to the band link in the official (sorry i hang my head in shame) site, i point out official bootlegs, surely the band would get a huge slice of this?

I have suggested this previously the who are the leaders when it comes to official boots. James would make a mint if they did the same.

I quite like the idea of having the concert available to take home as you leave the venue. Matchbox Twenty are offering that evening's gig on USB bracelets to collect after the show on their current tour. Nice touch.

USB bracelets? I think I'd rather have a cd Might be aiming at a different demographic to typical James fans, but they're pretty neat I reckon with an obvious novelty factor.

www.concertlive.co.uk/These sell CD's of the gigs in the auditorium when you leave. They then sell the rest on line for £15 a pop. Usually limited to 1500.

I know the guys who run concertlive. Wasn't a goer with james. Hope they'll try again for the next tour.

I would certainly buy on the night, one even at that price.

At that price I hope we'd keep the trading alive and still make copies. Also I normally have to run off immediately after gigs, if I'm bootlegging that works out fine but I rarely get time to hang around and buy stuff.
Basically this is all good providing it encourages rather than discourages the sharing of such recordings.

I'd guess they band could be reluctant as it means they have little control over quality on a semi official release which I can understand. (much as I would like it, might I add)
