Time to say Hello from Sweden! This forum looks very nice. I thought only one james-site had a forum, but I´m glad I was wrong. This looks better than the other one, so now I guess I can say " I know what I´m here for"... I first heard james for about 2 years ago, and I have come to like them more and more. Now I have some of their CD´s and the DVD " Getting away with it".

Hej "volumedistorted". I must say that I´m impressed that you know Swedish phrases. Other phrases you picked up? Hm... now I´m curious. I live in the south of Sweden. In Malmö ( Malmoe) Tak sä Myket (sorry, my swedish spelling may be poor). That's a phrase I try to use a lot but the others are rather rude. Let's just say, I'm a big Fan - of James ;D (let's hope that's my last use of that kind of vulgarity here ) If I tell you my surname is "Eagle's Village", you'll know what it is! I've never been to Malmö but I've been to Stockholm and Göteborg (I would have been much closer to Malmö when I was in Copenhagen) and a wonderful place north of there where there are a lot of rock carvings/impressions made by early Svenska peoples - I've completely forgotten the name of the place I think it began with a V, you may be able to remind me? I'm hoping to get back to Stockholm next year, me and my wife fell in love with Sweden and I know our young children would love it! Ha en bra dag!

If not; I can translate it )

If not; I can translate it ) I did indeed have a great weekend, Tak. Vitlycke - that is indeed the place, had a great time there - hired bikes (although almost killed myself - because of the Swedish tradition of having bikes that brake when you pedal backwards - by either braking when I did not want to or not breaking when I needed to) and travelled between the few sites of carvings on a glorious Swedish summers day . Thanks for that! well worth a visit. Are you one of those Swedish children who was brought up on Jungla vrar (swedish spelling again - translates to "Jungle roar" as I remember) sweets? My friends favourite passtime was watching the faces of English people who tried these 'sweets' (that they would regularly get sent over from home) for the first time . Truly disgusting to the first taste, but addictive from then on . Cheers

Sorry, but I couldn´t help laughing when I read it, because I could imagine the sight. Another nice place to visit , where you can get around by bike, is a very small island called "Ven", just outside the city Landskrona.( But there are hills, so you sure need brakes!) The sweets: I know what sort you mean. We say "djungelvrål". It was a long time ago I tasted those. I think they are very salted or sour. ( Hm, maybe I should buy it so I remember what I think of it..). Cheers

Yes, now I´ve tried that Swedish sweets "djungelvrål" again. It´s not my favourite because after the intensive salty taste, it doesn´t taste very much ( or in fact nothing). So that´s probably why I almost had forgotten what it tasted like . The best sweets is always chocolate. PS: Was I brought up with that " djungelvrål"- sweets? Well , I don´t know when I first discovered them. But I was born in the sixties...

Sorry for putting you through that , I seem to remember them having a vaguely aniseed/licquorice flavour after the initial amonia kind of blast. Mind you I dont eat that much pickled fish so those particular bitter taste buds of mine probably enjoyed being rudely awoken ;D Oh and, I remember my friend being rather incredulous (as well as lol-ing like you) when I told him of my cycling trouble. We were both struggling to come to terms with the fact that we each thought either pedalling backwards or using caliper breaks was utterly alien in learning to ride a bike, and not being able to use either was tantamount to not being able to ride a bike which we we both obviously could! Then again us both having had a quantity of vodka whilst trying to explain the relative merits of either system probably didn't help . Take Care

Bicycle Race was really a bid to push bisexual behavior. BIsexual BIsexual with FAT BOTTOMED girls? innuendoes?.... nah What!? Nooo, orangehouseborn, that wasn´t at all what I meant!! It was just a song about bikes. That´s all I meant.
