Pleased To Meet You is a ch00n.
Hello used to really irritate me as well with those odd drum noises and the timings of the vocals. But it's basically a good song and it's one of my favourite ones to play, although admittedly not to listen to.

I think PTMY is alot better than Millionaires. I'm always a fan of live versions of songs rather than studio version and Millionaires seemed WAY over-produced. The great thing about PTMY was how they recorded most of the songs in one take... like a live performance. There is so much more energy in that album.
Whiplash, like almost every other album, has moments of genious as well as songs I regularly hit skip on the cd for.

for me PTMY is the ultimate james masterpiece. apparentely no one that I know seem to share my opinion (well, at least tim liked it) ;D no other james album is so cohesive and lyrically/instrumentely powerfull as PMTY. it's definitely the most underrated james album.

I just love Millionaires, though I seem to be in the minority here. I've never agreed with that criticism that it was overproduced-- sounds great to me. Talk about energy! "Crash," "I Know What I'm Here For," "Fred Astaire"-- so full of that ebullient style unique to Tim Booth & James that I just find irresistable and has so endeared the band to me. Impossible for me to sit still every time I hear them! PTMY has energy, yes, but to me no James album has as much energy as Millionaires (with the possible exception of Seven). I love PTMY, too, though. It's impossible for me to pick a favorite (or least favorite) James album, I love them all so much. My preferences as to which one I feel most like hearing may change from time to time depending on my mood, but I still love them all.
