As far as Singles go, and ignoring all the obvious ones, I really like Destiny Calling. I am sure you will all agree with me that James fans, more than any other band fan, adobt a personal mission to convert as many people as possible and I persuaded a bloke I work with to buy The best of. He thought it was great apart from Destiny Calling, which he hated!!! Anyway back to the thread, what is your least favourite James Single. Thinking hard I think I'd go for Waltzing Along, which is a cracking Album track but I am not sure it makes a great single. I also thought Crash would have been a great single. I was fairly underwhelmed by Getting Away with it at the time as well, and thought Falling Down would have been a better opener to Pleased to meet you. What a waffly post!!!!

I'd have to go for We're Going To Miss You. Crash would be have been a better option and they released it at completely the wrong time when all the Christmas singles were coming out.

I thought the single version of We're Going To Miss You was awful compared to the album version. I think I listened to it about one and a half times and couldn't take it anymore. I just thought it was annoying the way he whispered the lyrics or whatever he was trying to do. Why did they change it? The lower voice fit the song better. Anyway, enough being negative. James rule!

Worst James single would definitely be say something. Dont get me wrong I love the song and it kicks ass live but the single version was a bit too tame for me.
And the video always makes me laugh when I dont think its supposed to!
Crash would have made an excellent single though!

I'd vote for Waltzing Along as the worst James single... I didn't get why they had to mess with the song for the single version, the 'rocked-up' sound quickly becomes annoying. The version on Whiplash is a million times better.

Wait, so is it replacing the word b-u-m with mortuus47. If so that's pretty damn funny. Nice bum!

it's because he was signing off with a post saying "up the b-u-m, no children" as some sort of attempt at humour, but I fixed it for him!

It was more a kind of randomly changing my signature to whatever came to mind sort of thing.

Least favourite would be a draw between "Laid" and "How Was It For You". Again, these songs are much better than most bands' best work, but compared to other James singles I find them sub-par.
