Anyone know the first verses to Ya Ho off "an accoustic collection"?
It starts:
Like a bird that finds its wings in flames Flies to an ocean to ease its pain (lyric lyric lyric lyric...) (lyric lyric lyric lyric) or something.. (lyric lyric) I believe this bird (lyric lyric lyric) (lyric lyric lyric lyric)
Ya Ho ......
then it goes into the usual "I nearly died when you jumped in..."
Anyone know the initial verses?

I get:-
Like a duck that finds its wings in flames It flies to the ocean to ease its pain And it swoops to the surface, and it sees sharp teeth Are they some reflection, or underneath? And we leave this bird suspended in flight A prayer of distress in decisive life.....
Ya Ho...
These are my opinion of the lyrics from Liverpool System 23.8.1985

there are lots of different lyrics to this flying around, same with some of the other Strip Mine tracks and I've got a version of Really Hard where I think those are actually the only two words that make it onto the recorded version.

I don't think I've ever heard "Honest Joe" played live where Tim sings it like on Wah Wah. I almost started a thread about this several times. I didn't because I haven't heard many bootlegs, but it's awesome and refreshing that James are so free-spirited when it comes to their music. Their songs are like living organisms, not hardened essays.

You said it!!-- I couldn't agree more!! That is one thing I love about listening to James' bootlegs: hearing the evolution of a song. I've always loved that about James: they are not afraid to take chances and experiment with songs when playing live. How many bands would play a live set containing 5 or 6 (or more!) songs that have yet to be released? Bands sometimes debut 1 or 2 songs live, but rarely more than that: most bands stick to the tried and true when playing live.
