its a excellent comeback this! not the best James song of all time but its certainly got some great qualities and think the boys have come up trumps. The hunger has returned i think, i dont want to "shoot my mouth off" but i feel more positive about James as a fan now than i did for the last few years of the band prior to the break. It's probably due to their current state of mind but the band seem "fresh as a daisy" ( i really need to stop with these puns!)
they did very few media performances last time round dont know if this was a decision on their part or lack of interest but this time they seem to be really up for it.
however Tim is responsible for my funniest TV moment of all time! Big Breakfast 01 when asked by the annoying guy hosting Big Breakfast why they chose to work with Eno again "cause of the size of his c@ck!" not good for the producers of the show but hey it certainly woke me up at that early hour! (the comment im referring to not the latter)
anyway boys good to have you all back see you in Dublin and if you want to play Honest Joe or Violent Rain I wouldnt be opposed to that!

My own personal fave was at the Q Awards 2001 when he presented the lifetime award to Eno, listing all his finest achievements, then only to say "but if none of that impresses you, he also has a massive c*ck!" other classics from that speech would include - to John Lydon "does your mouth bleed every 28 days?" and "they couldn't afford Bono, so it's my honour to present this award to Brian Eno" cB

Very promising start, if they've got 30 songs of this quality in the making then we're going to get one bloomin good album later this year! especially if they give themselves a few more months to sort them out and be on form live.

Yeah I remember watching the Big Breakfast show with Tim on in 2001 - it was in it's death roes then and Tim was being a bit grumpy I seem to remember maybe due to the early start! His comment about Eno made me laugh and seeing the presenter (Steve Coogan look-alike )squirm made me laugh

I think it is absolutely astounding - a work of rock pop perfection.

On my first listen, I wasn't too sure that this song suited James. But since then I've heard it quite a few times and I was wrong. It's a perfect returning track.
So welcome back, James. I've missed you.

On hearing it the first time I thought it was good. At around the third time I thought it was fantastic. If it gets the airplay it should do well and, although I know many of us here have (heard!) the track, I hope we all still buy it. I know I defo will. It would be brilliant, something I never imagined a few months ago, for James to have a top 20 hit or better. I think it's possible.

In due course I need to organise radio station bombardment.
Back in the day myself and a load of Halo fans caused so much wanton madness and destruction on a board, we crashed a server and got barred from posting on the BBC forums ... hahahahahaha!!
