Which james songs have the best intro's in your opinion?
I love the slide guitar at the start of Really Hard myself.

Play Dead - because the intro sounds NOTHING like the rest of the song. Born Of Frustration - love those chimey chords and then the two-guitar riff. Space - love that keyboard riff. Da-da-do-di-do-di-do--do-di-do-di. Honest Joe - THE DRUMS! Pressure's On - you listen to the odd, dark and moody Hammer Strings, and then it's like the clouds part, the sun shines through, and you're floating above the world.

Really Hard is great, i agree, God Only Knows worked very well but for me Hymn From A Village is still the best intro.

Seven from the first Hoxton '07 show. Play Dead - ooh yeah!
Never liked Skullduggery, so the intro to Scarecrow as 2nd song on Stutter was a welcome bit!
Love the beat on We're Going To Miss You. Undertaker's jam is well hidden from the start. Love it!

Big fan of We're Going To Miss You myself. Fred Astaire is a haunting intro. But yeah, Born of Frustration is probably the top one

Sound wins hands down especially the long version on GAWI...Live and the jangly guitar intro to Tomorrow. Oh! and English Beefcake too.

Obviously the longer version of BoF is great as is Sound live. Have to say that on that theme of live, that the start to Sit Down with the extended piano is still great. Next Lover though is great in the way it kind of fades in. Watering Hole and Blue Pastures - in fact, most of the songs where Jim's bass is responsible for the intro are fantastic.
