This was my first James gig and where the love affair started, I didn't realise it at the time but this was a genuine 'James saved my live TM' moment, I'd been kicked off an Air Traffic Control course the week before and was in a bad place.. The apocalypse now vibe with the wind and low cloud whipping across the site matched my mood. Triumph over adversity! Spent the next 6 months tracking down all manner of James vinyl and rarities!

1992 was definitely James peak live in my opinion. Their spring tour of Europe was simply stunning - the Cologne and Hamburg bootlegs are absolutely astounding and those gigs are still my highlight of watching the band.
Try remembering the set without writing it down and see how well you do.

It may well be that the page details come off a setlist and the boot is incomplete, but I'll let you know. What David Ford are you downloading Chris?

Try www.songsfromtheroad.co.uk - 35+ live Ford bootlegs, I should know, most of them are my handiwork (although the site isn't mine)

My dad, to this very day still bangs on about haveing to come a rescue me from Alton towers after a day out.
In about 1995 we got burgled, and the burglars took my gym bag, and filled it with the other halfs wardrobe contents and most of her electrical items, (Hair dryer, curling tongs etc) All I lost was a Puma Bag, my Red James Alton Towers T Shirt, and a Beautiful South Beanie Hat.
I was too distraught about the T shirt to provide much comfort to her nearly losing her entire wardrobe.

I was there too - got the red t-shirt with Alton Towers and the date, as well as a grey t-shirt with Dublin on the back (which was great cos I had something dry to change into afterwards! Was most upset when I dug these out for the Blackpool gig to find that they'd all gone mouldy and had rotted due to damp getting into the suitcase I'd packed all my music t-shirts in. Also lost the two-tone long sleeved red and grey embroidered James shirt from Piccadilly records i loved Does anyone remember some idiot going around before the gig and getting people to sing a James song into the radio mic? Every single bloody one of them sang 'Sit Down' which annoyed me greatly. Would love a CD/MP3 if anyone's got one spare.
