Hello. I'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if this is a load of old hat...
Were you at the opening night of the Boardwalk in Manchester back in the nineteen hate-ies?
I remember it because me and the rest of my band had done a deal with the owner, colin sinclair, that if we helped get the building ready for opening then we could have a few weeks cheap rehearsal.
We spent a good few weekends cleaning up what was an old theatre, then came the opening night with the one and lonely James. It was a very special night (even though the club didn't yet have a booze licence).
Now, as I prepare for my grave I am delighted to hear the good news. I'm almost tempted to run out into the streets of Wythenshawe and shout "whoopeee" at the top of my voice. But I won't bother.
