Sunday afternoon gig, tiny gig really - going to Geese clothing before it became a big name for the tickets (up a little back street in Manchester off Cross Street...) - special memories that you couldn't make up x

Well hello there......... I've just joined this thingy-mi-jig & immediately went looking for anyone posting subjects in the name of "The Boardwark" & low & behold......... Yeah, I was there..... it was only you mentioning the Geese tickets scenario that brought those particular details flooding back...... Incidentally, & really not related...... I was decked out in all Geese clobber that day, as it was my preferred place to shop at that time..... December '85 wasn't it ?... Remember the band having to walk right through us in order to reach the stage..... Won't waffle on anymore....... just finish by saying that your little message made my evening... yeah.... sad, I know !

It was sort of opposite where the Comedy Store is now, but set back off the main road.
I used to be there every Saturday night for Freedom with Dave Haslam. Brilliant nights.

Hello again - that Askme is me in my old guise - I deleted myself (don't ask!) It was a fab venue - Thursday nights were great there. Oasis used upstairs to rehearse, if I'm not mistaken. Nice to know I'm not the only ageing one on here lol
