I also have the fear of not getting tickets..... I'm frightened there will be a load of band wagon jumpers! It's being hyped by the media..... I'm frightened diehards won't be going and it will be full of the people who just don't get James!

My mate Mike, the most major James fan (I know, probably caused a stir by that, but hey, it's true) has been keeping me upated. Next to his passion I've felt quite calm, but was gutted it was in the Manchester Evening News last night, when they said that a new generation of fans would be able to see them - NO! For us only! I first saw them support The Smiths at the Palace in Manchester in 1985 and went out and bought Village Fire 12". That was it. Love. I used to write to Martine and she wrote me tons of letters back...I hope they're still at my mum's somewhere!!
I saw them at the Boardwalk one Sunday afternoon, too - ah, those were the days....so yes, I'm quietly delighted. Mike is less quiet. Considerably!

Oh my god I have just heard this amazing news. Im currently in Barbados on my honeymoon and thought all the good times were behind me and I had nothing to look forward to. I have absolutely loved James for about 15 years and never felt as strongly about a band before or since. Seeing them live together again is just amazing and I don’t care if I shouldn’t be feeling like this at my age. This feels great!

I'm glad James fans are so open and silly and unafraid. I get so fed up with pretentious, arrogant fans! Oh huzzah! *kittens in mittens*

Not sure after 17 yrs in the same job that I will still have it with 3 months until London gigs as each day I'm going round saying to my 20 odd staff 'Have I told you JAMES are getting back together again', good chance I will be stoned or strung up before April. But I feel word must be spread especially as over half my staff are under 25 and probably wont remember JAMES first time round, next job is to start playing JAMES tracks in the staff room : ) .

I think my mates are sick of it already - although when I love a band I love them completly, so they've seen this before with The Divine Comedy, Muse, Mansun ... they're probably used to it and just smile and nod!

Hahahaha!
Yeah, as well as the hats- you should utter a James song in a conversational way. I really want to tell the ASBO kids I come across at work, "oh go on, read a book, it's so much more worthwhile!"

we are not silly.. we are lucky!!!!!! I can not concentrate at work, I keep loging into the chat rooms, I keep checking the related sites, I always have JAMES in my mind. Some would say that I've lost it. But I feel priviledged to know their music... and extremely lucky to see them on the 26th... Yiupiiiiiii

Okay, I feel a whole lot better knowing I'm not the only one obssessing about this band. My computer desktop at work has their picture. When I saw Tim Booth in Batman Begins, I almost jumped! Everytime I read that Tim firmly denied there was ever going to be a chance of them getting back, my heart sank. So, how do I feel now that they're back? I am ecstatic! Sadly, the closest I can get to a concert is that well worn dvd of their farewell concert. If they come to the States, I swear I will follow them anywhere! I do hope Adrian will be back too.

I think it is so uncool to walk around with a t-shirt of your favourite ban..... and yet, since i heard the fantastic news, that's exactly what i have been doing. The daisy t-shirt is back!
