Hello all, or whoever chances to read this. My name's Greg and my hometown is Los Angeles. KROQ was my favorite high school radio station, and DJ Richard Blade also had several video shows in the 80's which I loved. I also spent time in San Diego, listening to 91X. Later I lived in San Francisco, where Live 105 was the hot station, and I also spent a few years in Dallas around the same time Laid was hot and James were interviewed on KDGE.
In my youth I was a huge fan of Blancmange and Real Life. RL came to California twice in '98 and 2000, where they sounded fantastic even though they played the exact same 14 songs each time. The 2000 gig was poorly attended, but almost everyone present was invited onstage for 'Send Me An Angel'. Alphaville's Forever Young was first available on CD when I was in high school, and I was a still a fan of their music through the 90's. Finally got to see them live (acoustically) in Salt Lake City back in 2000. Now as a devoted James fan I hope to take my concert experience to the highest level by seeing Tim, Jim, Larry, Dave, Saul, Mark & Andy play some of their songs which are so perfect to me! Some gigs are the same set every night. And then sometimes there are surprises that no one could expect!
(I have another life outside of music, but it's really not that interesting. I married a Japanese girl who could only handle the 'family' thing for exactly 4 years, twice! She sent her first son back to his dad in Hong Kong, and I have sole custody of our boy who is now 8. He's a true monkey just like Curious George, full of energy and a love of life and other people. We like Transformers and Family Guy and pizza!)
Glad to be a James fan, and happy to know some of you!
