I think (and I'm not 100% on this) that HMV might have bought them over? I know 2 in Glasgow closed and then reopened about a month later.

Just looking at this poll more closely and a couple of things stood out. First of all I can't believe only 1 person voted for Goldmother. I revisited it recently and it's an amazing piece of work, certainly better I'd say than a few that have more votes than it, Millionaires for one (or was that 5 protest votes ) and PTMY. In saying that I didn't vote for it either ;D And secondly, 69 voters and 70 votes?! I smell a fix

To be fair, and it was a point I was going to make in another thread during the Laid eliminator, it is quite difficult to vote for your favourite James album.
For example, like you I'm extremely surprised at the Gold Mother result. But then you think that it must be right up there with a lot of people's top 3 James albums. But for a lot of people (the poll seems to suggest) there are better albums for them than Gold Mother.
It would be great if you could rank vote the albums (10pts for best 9 for second and so on or whatever). In a way, I think that would give a fairer indication of how people feel about albums.
Just a thought like. ;D
