Carlisle; Sands centre (reminded me a bit of Hereford leisure centre) Great gig, opened with Destiny, played two or three (seven & Play Dead) then into WAY? as the first new song. After that set list blurs, but Chainmail, 5-0, How Was it for you all got outings. Band was great, quite tight with well balanced sound. Chameleon got the restart treatment when Tim failed to come in on cue! Sounds better with each play. The other new one Upside/Downside got another go I think this with the same lyrics as Dublin but changed from the warm up. Lots of familiar songs but a decent number of earlier ones. Laid, Sitdown and Sometimes, oh yes Come Home was in there somewhere as was GAWI. I know I have missed a few and the order is not as played but heck I WAS ENJOYING MYSELF!!! The only downside to this gig was the inconsiderate idiot a few feet behind us who insisted on whistling in time to the intros and basically ruining the enjoyment. Yes whistle!, and I too have an ear piercing whistle when I use it but NEVER during a song or the intro. Only for showing appreciation of a finished song or in the encore call. On balance not a true 'classic' but bloody good and enough to keep me going till Friday. bon

BTW Dave,
Enjoyed the review captured things very well. It just shows that taking notes does work, as does staying sober.
You did forget to mention the 'Whistler' but completely agree about the shoulder. When he stood on the barrier and sung my heart was in my mouth. The whole tour and Tim's shoulder hung in the balance. Fortune smiled but one slip and those ligaments would 'Twang'

Whoops, didn't mean them to be that big!! Can I re-size them? Will I get into trouble gor hogging bandwidth?
Gig at Carlisle was awesome - made me feel old though, first time I saw James was at the Sands Centre 16 years ago when I was 15.
Felt like a right Jessy when they all came out - all emotional and sh*t!
Bloody wicked, even on me Jack!

Bandwith will come from Photbuckets servers, so not here... You look like you where stood quite close to me... or that is a good zoom on your camera... In photo bucket, there should be a box reading 'img code' when you upload a photo It's those that you need to copy/paste onto your message, to keep the images small(er). Here are 2 of my only good pics from the night. Will be glad when I can use my own digi cam and not my parents.

Yeah, I copied the IMG code onto here but I hadn't re-sized my photos to ones suitable for messageboards - was on max res. Looks like I was stood very close to you. Zoom on that camera is only 3X optical. Wish I'd brought my good camera now - didn't think they'd let me in with it!
