Oh My Fucking God - what a gig!!! Am not going to try and do a set list, I'll totally fail... All I'll say is that the highlights included Sit Down, Ring The Bells, Getting Away With It and Sometimes in no real order.
Support came from a band called Air Traffic, I've heard them before as they supported Snow Patrol on their last tour... someone commented to me as they came on stage 'look at how young they are' (they look, and prob. are, younger than me!). Quite a good band I thought, and they've came on a fair way since seeing them at Xmas (although the GMex was packed when they came onstage there to 10,000 SP fans (the Sands Centre held around 1500, so not as many for them to play to)).
Someone wanted stupid facts, Tim's hat came off after the second song (Shoulda grabbed a set list, or put more of an effort into it), Chris got asked if he wanted to go crowd surfing, Chris got crushed in the front middle, Chris stinks of lager after someone's pint ended up over his head, Chris ended up going the toilets afterwards and soaking his hair in water, then couldn't be arsed with the drier, Chris also (and cannot believe it), left his T-Shirt in Chester... least I believe I have done, as it's not here at home home with me, and Chris also pointed at numerous t-shirts, felt stupid, and asked 'Who Are You'? lol
That'll do for now, the bath tub is calling me, need to freshen up!!!!

Shit, missed something off.... Chameleon got played, twice... well, the start did.... Didn't quite catch the reason, was something with Tim I think... wasn't sure if he was meant to do something 3 or 4 times or something or other. Tim jokingly said 'that's it' when it first went wrong, 'that's the whole song'

I was thinking how hopeless it would be to attempt a setlist myself. Tried to think about it on the way home and failed miserablely a bit like the suicidal sheep on the roads...but thats a different story.
Arrived and immediately saw one of the famous teeshirts on Takemeanywhere so had to introduce myself! (many many thanks for the beer, hopefully there will be one in return come Glasgow or Manchester!) also met peterrugby and barkill (and of course our own OOTT!) So hi guys great to meet you all and put some faces to the names.
A remarkably staid crowd considering just how good the music was. I was dancing all through so 'sorry' if me moving about 'annoyed' you. Still at least it gave me the chance to listen without worrying about falling over! An amazing amount of highlights for me particluarly Chainmail, Honest Joe and Who Are You, Sometimes was a hoot with Tim climbing into the crowd. Oh and top highlight for me was Five-0. Just stunning.
Great night but looking forward to a more lively crowd and some proper beers in Glasgow. See you there.

Great review again Dave, for me you captured the essence of the gig exactly.(possibly cos I was about 3 feet beind you..!) Particularly Larry's guitar which was awesome throughout and you could tell he really loved being up on stage and getting stuck in again. Personally I thought Shes a Star was absolutely right and worked really well but thats IMO The points about the reunion are completely spot-on, Tim mentioned that the Pixies reunion proved to him that reunions could be relevant and there was nothing more relevant that the music that was getting played last night. In the Dublin review it was mentioned that Heavens was the lost single. On the evidence of last night another could be Honest Joe.
