I listened to Bone today.
What a truly, unbelieverably fucking brilliant Album that is.
Have been listening a lot to BATBA recently, also great.

BATBA is bloody great. First track is pap though, so I start from number two.

Not heard either of them (hangs head in shame). Just downloaded both from iTunes so will be listening tonight - love the first couple of tracks on Bone so far.....

Wow! Boothy does it yet again - words straight through to my soul! How does he do it? Think the production's a bit OTT in parts though, would have preferred it a bit simpler sometimes.
BATBA tonight....

So how did you like BATBA? Took me about 3 years to learn to love that album. I like how he converts Angelo to his "life gets better" mantra but it's the bit I used to find annoying. Best lyic? There's so many.... like most of Old Ways and Heart. Worst?.... "Waiter take it back, I ordered sham pain" I'm probably not converting anyone here...

I like it - needs a few more plays though. Was expecting I Believe to be pap, as per Jimjam's comment, but I thought it was great. No accounting for taste is there?
Have revised my opinion of Bone too - strange how songs sound different the more you play them - different qualities coming out each time you hear them.

I guess this means you didn't see Tim tour Bone either? Shame, those were some special shows.

No, sadly - but I'm hoping to hear him tour his new one (assuming he does)

Re-listening to Bone now, for the first time since (I guess) about 2005
Some really cracking stuff on there
Funny how it was generally well received, save for the NME which just could never bring itself to be nice about anything Jimbo or anyone associated with the band ever did

The NME only ever had one writer who wasn't a complete tosser. And he wrote Folklore.
