Fan-bloody-tastic, had travel trauma which meant that I only entered the Gmex as the first chords of Lose control were struck!
Did'nt get to meet anybody aprt from Folklore on the way out.
Splendid, enjoy everybody who is going tonight SO JEALOUS, but a fantastic end to a James filled year last night!
See you all on the next tour.

Brilliant but slightly marred by the idiots walking from the bar to the toilets and back. Can people not drink for the two hours that James are playing. What goes in must come out. The frequent trail of pushing did get annoying. But we'll be there again next year. Did anyone else feel a finality about last night? Don't know if the band were just soaking up the atmosphere, but the goodbyes seemed more meaningful than normal.

I purposefully stood on the right hand-side to avoid the toilet-goers... also as I figured the drunk idiot demographic would swing towards the left side for convenience too.

Yes, that's the guy - Tyron he's called. From Salford - he's been a James fan for years and gave them a DVD of his signing so they asked him to sign at the gig - he'd never done anything like it before believe it or not - he looked so at home up there! Told him he should do it professionally, for theatres and stuff but he said he'd not be able to stand still like professional signers are supposed to! It's a mix of BSL sign language and other signs made to fit with the songs - proper BSL has a totally different syntax and grammar to English (for instance 'Why are you phoning?' is 'phone you why?' in BSL) so he had to make it fit the songs. I'm learning it myself so I had to seek him out for a chat! I think the finality feeling was more of the end of the tour - I was speaking to someone else who'd heard that this was going to be the last ever gig but the band are thinking about the possibility (possibility, mind) of doing some smaller gigs next year where they'll play a couple of albums straight through, which would be fab. There are also thoughts of doing some more in the west of America too and hopefully lots of new stuff coming next year if all these 'seeds' of songs bear fruit. I had the most unbelievable time both nights, I'm still up in the clouds! Got to the front both nights so wasn't bothered too much by idiots.

I loved the sign for 'out of your range' ;D as he took aim at the crowd with a rifle.

Along with the vast majority of James fans i know or have met at gigs - i enjoy a good sing along for the 90 odd minutes. I'll freely admit that i'm no Russell Watson but there you go - however i had never been asked to crank it down before until the Friday gig at G-Mex - two sloaney females in the Friday finery (with obvioulsy no intention of dancing or signing) had squeezed their way in front of me during lose control as i had turned to see Tim & Larry enter - after about the 3rd full-on song one of them turned to me and asked if i could sign quieter - well after a short blast of abuse from me and others nearby suggesting that they find a quiet spot at the back my signing volue was trebled and they eventualy pi**ed off to annoy someone else - Priceless, annoying at the time as i missed a few lines of the song ut looking back hilarious
