Oh gods, 10 in 1990? Now I feel old..... Yes the Antmeister got committed for a while for going a bit loopy but he's back on the straight and narrow with a new wife and sprog, by all accounts. I've been to some extremely shit gigs - amongst them I will confess to are Simply Red, Genesis and REM (who were ok but I got dragged along against my will) I'll see your Simply Red and Genesis and raise you a Bryan Adams and T'Pau. On the same billing.

The Who at Watford Free Trade Hall (circa 1968) (I can't remember the exact date my mind is going!) ;D Do you want your cocoa now? It'll be time for your visitors, soon.

..... Would have loved to have seen Adam and the Ants though - although he got rather poncy after he swapped the Red Indian white stripe for the red and white cheeks and new romantic get up. Apparently, the white stripe was really damaging his eyes though. He's still going - did a gig last year and just released a DVD of it (my reminiscences led me to find an Ant forum last night). Still, it's far better than looking up Nik Kershaw online.... Damn, I wasn't going to repeat it...... ;D Yes Adam and the ants were fantastic live I remember a load of women (probably teenagers) rushing to the front when he came on stage, as I was in the isle seat about five rows back. I weas into adam and the ants from Kings of the wild frontier amnd obviously a wealth of people jumped on board with Stand and Deliver but he did go a bit poncy on Prince Charming, even then I couldn't stand the monstrosity that was Ant Rap - the fact it got to number 3 in the charts proved they could have brough out any old tosh and got in the top five, however there are some true classics on that album.

Jesus Christ - Ant Rap. Just don't go there. If anyone hasn't heard it, whatever you do, don't look it up. Just say no. Did your isle seat have a little palm tree where you could hoist a Jolly Roger? Or was it an aisle seat?

Ah, I recognise an ISIHAC fan when I see one. Fancy a game of Mornington Crescent? I'll see your Bryan Adams and T'Pau and raise you PJ Harvey and Run Rig!

Haven't heard of the Cranberries for YEARS. Wonder what became of them?
T'Pau was notable if only for the ginger singer storming off stage after a somewhat forward member of the audience put a lewd suggestion to her concerning her sexual predelictions during a lull in proceedings.
Loudest cheer of the night

I completely forgot that I saw EMF in 1989 - I'm sure it was then, was def in 3rd year junior school anyway. They had not long been signed and did a 'show' at Berry Hill Comprehensive School in Lydney, where my mate's dad was a PE teacher.
Slightly less embarrassing than NKOTB. Only slightly.
