just had a look at latitude website. James are 4th on the bill and playing 50 minutes?
with 3 unknown acts going on after them, what's all that about?
Surely a 2 hour headline slot is in order? Festival organisers need to get a grip.

;D
I'd hardly call Belle and Sebastien unknown but I see your point!!
The Maccabees are actually a decent live band too if you get the chance to check them out.
Now that I think about it I wish I'd paid more attention to this earlier as the line up looks not bad!

;D I'd hardly call Belle and Sebastien unknown but I see your point!! Yes, I know they are well know, and "Scotland's greatest ever band", but no where near in the same league as James. I'm going through a spell of listening to no one but James, and at these times in particular it seem incomprehensible that James should be 4th on the bill.

Festival organisers need to get a grip. I thought that James were getting some sort of headlining slot (albeit at a smaller tent) at Latitude thus all the stuff about the "special guests" etc....? Can anyone shed any light? I'd guess the special guests would have been some sort of orchestra ala Mcr Vs Cancer from last year. For the Maccabees to be above them in the set is just appalling. Actually I'm quite annoyed by this.

In an interview for Absolute Radio, Tim revealed they had offered to play with an orchestra and choir for the Sunday lunch time slot at the festival, but were turned down by the organisers. The slot went to Tom Jones who yet again played his new album, described as shit by his record company boss, in full without any of his better known songs. Watch the interview with Tim here. www.oneofthethree.co.uk/jamesnews.htm
