Malware

I've been downloading a few movies via torrents recently and seem to have picked up some Malware in the process. It's quite weird as it's in the form of audio only adverts and can appear at any time, if I have applications open or not. When it does appear if I bring up Task Manager it doesn't show anything running.
I've tried running Spybot, Malware and SuperAnti Spyware and although the last 2 do tend to find things and delete them, when I reboot the problem is still there. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get rid of this as it's driving me nuts!

Although you don't mention the applications, do you mean that you may be watching the film and you hear the adverts? Or adverts randomly play outside of the film?? If it's the first, chances are it may not be malware, but an attempt to 'corrupt' the file you are downloading (as it is more than likely copyrighted material you are downloading). I've downloaded some TV episodes before where there was a whole conversation of shit taking place between groups of people, left it pretty inaudible

Hopefully sorted by now, but going to Start > Run and typing MRT then press enter is a good start. Make sure the title as an up to date date and run a scan. It's free too. Also install this: www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
