Just back. Thought about trying to write a review but don't think I can be as in depth and analytical as OOTT or as witty as Sweezley so I'll keep it brief. It was pretty special. Highlights for me were Say Something (which really surprised me), the Dust Motes/Hello segue, The Lake (sensational), Why So Close and Medieval. To hear those last 3 songs live was just unbelievable. The first half of the show was pretty good but the second half just went to a new level. Would have been even better if the couple behind us would have shut the fuck up but never mind! My only criticism would be that at times you could barely hear the choir. I appreciate that you don't want them drowning out Tim but at times you wouldn't have known they were there. Oh, and someone needs to teach some of them how to dance! Another highlight was Tim's attempt at conducting. Not sure if that was done on other nights but was very funny. And a lovely touch by Larry to dedicate Hymn... to John/Paranormalhandy.

The full gig was very moving. As always you have some over excited fans shouting away when the rest just want to hear the harmonies, violin or chior for the slower songs {generally at the first half). but great The guy were top of the class. Saul can be a tool. The dedication brought a tear.
God! , Medieval was mind blowing.

Fairly good review (The Scotsman one) from someone who blatantly isn't as familiar with the band as some others (which is fine by the way) and it's always nice to hear good reviews. Fairly short piece, but nice to see a bit of coverage and TGS getting a mention. As for your review LP, don't do yourself down, you can be at least as funny as Sweezley - you like C**ter, so you must have some sense of humour! Can't wait for Friday now, am seriously tempted to try and look at possible avenues for Saturday tickets as well, but fear funds may well price me out of the equation! If anyone is going to the Friday Liverpool gig, I reckon I'll be in The Philharmonic (pub) before the gig but will check in on Farcebook if any different (The Pilgrim for sentimental reasons is a tempter). No red wine/ale combo pre-gig this time however... ;D

I've been sitting since the Glasgow show frantically trying to figure out how I can afford to get myself down to London to take in one of the Albert Hall shows. Unfortunately the long and short of it is that I can't. If only I hadn't booked those pesky CARTER tickets in Manchester for next month.......

Just back. Thought about trying to write a review but don't think I can be as ... whiny and annoying as Sweezely so I'll keep it brief. Fixed.
