Tell us about yourself, where you are from, how you got into James. You may even find there's a James fan living round the corner from you.

Hello I'm John I run a pub in Hastings and it's one where you'll find James being played most of the time. It's a real James mad pub, 47 went from the pub last time James played at Brighton. I've been a James fan for to many years to remember and have brainwashed a vast number of people into liking James. Shame about the split but lets see what comes of it.

Hi. My names Ashleigh and Im 19 and live in Scotland where Im currently a poor student and supermarket employee! My favourite James album is Stutter and fave song varies depending on my mood. At the minute its Blue Pastures which is quite worrying as to what it says about my mood Iv saw James live twice. I was at the Alton Towers gig but was only 8 or 9 at the time and was more into Take That so didnt get much out of it. Fortunately though I saw them in 1999 at T in the Park and of all the bands I saw that weekend they were the only ones that grabbed me. Im not a fan of festivals cos when Im watching a band I tend to be thinking about my lack of sleep and all the really annoying people pushing you but when I saw James I completely forgot all about that stuff! Anyway Ive been a fan ever since which sucks cos Id barely got into them when Tim left but as the T-shirt says 'James Lasts'

My fav song is "Senorita" and "Getting away with it". I have only two albums, Getting ... live and Pleased to meet you.
One friend gave me getting away with it (mp3) ans so I bought the albums.

Hi, I'm Turgay and I live in Turkey. I am a James fan since late 1980s. I lived in UK during 1989-1991 when I was a grad student at LSE. I started listening to James music at that time (I guess after hearing the song 'sit down') and I still enjoy it. I have most of James CDs and try to collect bootlegs (mp3) and other rare stuff. I can say James occupies an important part of the music I listen to. Musically yours,

Hi, my names Andy, and I'm an alcolholic! James has/is and will play a major role in my life, listening to them, and playing James music on the drums. My first James CD was "Sometimes" which my dad bought me in 1993. I was only 6/7 at the time! Now at the grand old age of 16, I listen to the music all the time. I've only had the luck of seeing James once, but I consider it the best. Wembley 2001 - The very last gig, I really enjoyed it, even the ringing afterwards sounded good, I keep seeing flying flowers when I go to sleep at night time. I am visiting Hastings soon, love to know where that pub is, shame I'll only be able to buy a soft drink, I'm not bloody old enough. ;D

I have been a James fan for over half of my life now... only I am on the other side of the ocean in the United States. I've only had the pleasure of seeing James live 4 times in my life... although... had the North American tour not been cancelled because of Tim's "whiplash"... I would have seen them at least 2 more times.
It is hard to describe how much this band and this music has meant to me... but I've seen several of you (or your names) throughout the years... so I apologize that I am only now registering for the boards. That is truly a shame that Adam Watkins page is finally 'under construction'. It's been up since 1994... right?

My name is James and I live in Atlantic Canada. I've been a fan since a friend of mine from another online community introduced me to James in February 2002. James have become a very real and influential part of my life since, but it is very disappointing to discover them post Tim's departure. This of course does not impede my freedom to enjoy the music, which I have been collecting aggressively since being enlightened.

Hello
My name is Matt, and I'm from Manchester. I am 27 and have been into James since I was 14 with the advent of Gold Mother. I'm completely obsessed (so I'm told) and love collecting the bootlegs from Oneofthethree every week. Favourite songs include Top Of The World, Burned, Someone's Got It In For Me, and I adore Hands In The Rain From B&TBA. I was lucky enough to be at the Manchester concert where they filmed GAWI Live ;D, but I thought that the volume was too low (Probably due to them recording it.
Cheers

My name is George and I'm a cameraman in Los Angeles. I got into James by hearing them first on the Alternative NRG cd and being blown away by "Ring the Bells." Started buying albums immediately. Finally got to see them at Manchester and London on their final tour in 2001. What incredible shows those were. For London, I got to be right against the stage. Awesome awesome experience.

The name's Ross. I live in Cape Town South Africa (land of the blue sky, blue sea, and beautiful mountain!).
First heard James when Sit Down was released, but got into them when a friend gave me a cassette of Gold Mother (pre Sit Down inclusion). Album blew me away! Been a fan ever since. Lost touch after Laid (never got Whiplash - still meaning to!). Got back into the swing of things with Millionaires.
Spend a lot of time trying to convert people to James, with some success. Don't know of many other South African fans.
Coolest thing was finally tracking down a new copy of the Folklore book while in a bookstore in Fleet during my UK holiday this past June.
Getting Away With it (live) is my most worn out DVD of all time (gave U2 a break...)

So did you see them live in South Africa when they played at Centurion Supersport Park in November of 2000?

no.... I didn't know they were performing. Unfortunately, because I'm not a big Smashing Pumpkins fan, I didn't pay attention to the gig, or who the support was (and it's usually a local band) A colleague of mine went to see SP, and said they sucked live, and that James blew her away. She said that she'd have paid just to see them again. Trust me when I say that I am seriously bitter that I missed it! O well... we live in hope...

God, James supporting the Smashing Pumpkins. How insulting is that?!! What is the world coming to...
I'm surprised they agreed to do the gig. They probably just wanted to visit South Africa.
